Hello Everyone,
Hope you have enjoyed piecing the Twinkling Star block and have thought about how you can get your hopes and dreams into this block. I love thinking about the tiny acorn of potential that is within all of us. A few of the blocks are waiting to be picked up from February and please remember the switch of the background fabric. From here on out, we will be going with a softer palatte in the background fabric from RJR. Thank you for your understanding this month.
Next up is Grandmother's Favorite and the block is done and looks wonderful. We've mixed in some tonals from the Krystal collection from Michael Miller to go along with our reproduction fabrics which I think you will love. Blocks can be picked up early if you wish next week as I know many of you are planning on attending Sew Expo next weekend.
I humbly say I can barely get through this chapter without the lump in my throat and the tears in my own eyes when I think of my grandmother's impact on my life and how she taught me to stitch and sew. Momentos of her are all around the shop and her memory is an indistinguishable candle within my soul. Her eyes too were blue before they became thick with cataracts.
So now, you too can do it, Buttercup!
Please everyone, take a look at pages 27 through 30 and let's make time in March for the Baby Doll and Baby Doll Quilt as shown. There are small people in our lives that would love this offering. Would someone like to make a sample for the shop? Please see Susan for materials and supplies.
Girls dreams are fragile, to be handled with care,
for they largely determine how women will fare.
